Participant FAQ

I didn't want the automatic deferral from my paycheck, can it be refunded to me?

Updated on

To find out if your plan allows for refunds of the auto-enrolled deferrals, review your plan's Annual Participant Notice (APN), located under Documents & Reports - Forms & Notices.

If refunds are allowed, there will be a form labeled "Election to Refund Deferrals" at the top of this APN. You may complete this form and return it to your plan sponsor. Pay close attention to the time frame for which refunds are allowed, it will be specified in the second paragraph of the form.

If refunds are not allowed, your APN will not contain this form. You may only withdraw your funds if you qualify for a distribution from the plan. However, you can halt any future contributions by changing your contribution rate.
